As yet the Union’s import and export trade flows could be monitored regularly in full by values, quantities and supplementary units as compiled by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, on a monthly basis for arround 10,000 products or groups of product.
The extra-EU trade figures are reported for different transport modes: road, rail, air/ post, water (inland, sea) and other; the intra-EU trade is calculated exclusively by DSI on a Common Market level, differentiated by road, rail and inland waterways.
